Candle Safety Tips

  • Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room.
  • Never touch a burning candle or move a votive or container candle when the wax is liquid.
  • Extinguish the candle properly. Using a candle snuffer is by far the best way to put out a candle.
  • Never extinguish candles with water. The water can cause the hot wax to splatter and might cause a glass container to break.
  • Keep candles far from paper, books, shades, blinds, combustible fluids, attire, bedding, lampshades, different combustibles, and ANYTHING that can catch fire and burn.
  • Never nod off with a flame consuming and turn off warmer, if used.
  • Do not leave candles unattended and keep them out of reach from pets and children.
  • Trim wicks to 1/4 inch prior to lighting and utilize noncombustible holders to catch dribbling wax.
  • Do not ingest candle wax
  • Regardless of pain threshold, Do not play with wax, as wax can burn the skin.
